    Hi Salient!

I got a few glitch on my css, i don't know what's happening, maybe you have some ideas. Here is the website : http://kribou.ca

    1) On the home page, if you can see the 3rd raw, there is an orange icon on the left. I don't know why, but it looks compressed. Other icons like this do the same thing! Like there :http://kribou.ca/nos-services/accompagnement-coaching-entrepreneur/ (on the bottom)

    2) Also, I noticed something also strange. On the portfolio, there is a block with “skills” on the right. Check in here by example :http://kribou.ca/portfolio/loic-ternisien-naturopathe-energeticien/ On this box, icons are “glued” to the text and when you scroll down, the block goes on the left side of the website. Do you have an idea why this is happening?

    3) The header makes something strange too. When you scroll down and the scroll up again, the “flexible header” doesn't transform like at the origin. (maybe this is not clear, my english is not perfect so i explain differently) When the page loads, the header is tall and transparent. When we scroll it reduce its size (now it's ok), but I go up again, the header doesn't go at the first height than at the origin. Do you know why? NB : i use Chrome and Firefox and both have this glitch.

Thank you a lot for your help, and also, thank you so much for this great theme.

Oh btw, i think for the 3) issue, it depends on the resolution.
I have a desktop computer and a laptop. The problem comes on my laptop (1280x800) but not in the desktop computer (1680x1050)

    Hey!

Could you please turn off the combine css option in Salient Theme Options -> General Settings and check .

    Thanks

  • Alexandre replied

I'm not sure what the the "combine css option". Do I have to clear the Custom CSS?

  • Alexandre replied

Ok so I was not sure if you want me to disable the External CSS sheet option or to clean all my custom css.
So i made both of them.
    Nothing changed :/

NB : the external css sheet option is still disabled but i put my custom css back.

    Hey!
Please update to Salient Theme Version 5.5.1 . Also see :https://themenectar.ticksy.com/faq/3216 .
You can update your theme by downloading a fresh copy from ThemeForest, renaming the current version folder you have on your server and uploading the new.
    Please see: http://codex.wordpress.org/Using_Themes
    Thanks

  • Alexandre replied

    Hey Tahir,

Ok so the theme is updated now to the latest version.

When I activated the parent theme, all the errors were gone. But when I activated the child theme again, all appeared again.

So i'm thinking that theses problems come from the CSS custom code added. But I don't know where.
Can you help me on this please?

  • Alexandre replied

Edit : nope, it is not. I erased all the custom code, erased the cache, and these problems were still here. So this comes from somewhere else...

    Tahir replied

    Hey Again!

Do you have the 5.0 version or any other still in the themes folder. If yes please delete those and only keep 5.5.1 .

    Thanks

    ThemeNectar Support Team

  • Alexandre replied

    I already did it. :)

You can check it if you go to THEMES section.

  • Alexandre replied

The only way to fix problem 1) and 2) is to put the parent theme back. :/

With the child theme, everything is coming a coming again...

    Hey!
Please update to Salient Theme Version 5.5.2 . Auto update using this plugin http://premium.wpmudev.org/blog/how-to-update-themeforest-themes-with-the-envato-wordpress-toolkit/ .
    Thanks

    ThemeNectar Support Team

  • Alexandre replied

    Done!

I reactivated the child theme. No changes. 1) 2) & 3) still here.

Edit : actually another error appeared ... portfolio images doesn't show now...
I have to put back the parent theme while we can fix it.

  • Alexandre replied

Edit 2 : that was a very bad idea to update to 5.5.2... Even with the parent theme, portfolio images doesn't show now...

Can you please fix it quickly, please? We can't let that happen :/

    Tahir replied

    Hey Again!

I see you downgraded to 5.5.1 . The developer and me both cant replicate the issue with the portfolios . Can you confirm you are still having it.

    Thanks

    ThemeNectar Support Team

  • Alexandre replied

    Hi Tahir, I had to!

When I installed the latest update, no pictures appeared on the website (like the picture).

So I'll install 5.5.2 again as a second theme.
When you want, the developer and you, activate it and see it by yourself.

    Tahir replied

    Hey Again!

Did you try clearing your browser cache and check again. We have tried activating it and can not recreate your issue .

    Thanks

    ThemeNectar Support Team

  • Alexandre replied

    Hey Tahir,

So I tried too, you're right, no issue at all!
So now, my theme is updated.

And I checked, problem 3) is solved!

Problem 1) and 2) are still there, when I activate the child theme.
Now i switch to parent theme, but I really prefer to work the child theme (you know why...).

Can you help me and fix these issues on child theme please? Thanks.

    Hey Again!

I just activated the child theme on your server and i cant see any blank portfolio images.

    Thanks

  • Alexandre replied

Hey Tahir, i think there is a misunderstanding.

The issue with blank portfolio images is fixed now (i don't know how btw..).

    Remaining issues are these :

NOTE : these issues only appears when the child theme is activated!

    Thanks

    Hey!

Please update to Salient Theme Version 5.5.3 as there have been major bug fixes .
After Updating be sure to Activate Salient Visual Composer as its now a standalone plugin from here : .

    Thanks

  • Alexandre replied

    Hi Tahir,

Update is set up, but nothing changed.

Also, I'd like to share with you that I don't feel heared.
For a few times, you only told me to update my theme (3 times actually).

I accord great importance to thrust and transparency.
Is it possible for you to tell me more about what you think these glitches are? And if these updates will really fix them?
    I'm also open to suggestions.

    Thanks

    Hey!

It seems you have multiple copies of Salient sitting in your themes directory, to fix the child theme issues attempt to keep only the most recent version of the theme in there

    Cheers

  • Alexandre replied

The old theme is deleted now.

Hey again - why are you using this:

instead of adding @import url("../salient/style.css"); in the child theme? I believe that's what changing the order of the stylesheets and causing the issue. I tried to change that for you but it seems you have some caching active that would need to be cleared
  • Alexandre replied

    Hey there, it worked!!

Everything is fixed now. :) Thanks for your support.
