SEO Issue in Portfolio Slider – Multiple <h1> Headings

    Hello Salient Support Team,

Iā€™m experiencing an SEO-related issue with the Portfolio Slider (nectar_fullscreen_zoom_recent_projects) in the Salient Theme.

Currently, the slider generates an <h1> heading for every single portfolio item.
šŸ”“ Issue: This negatively impacts SEO best practices, as each page should ideally have only one <h1> heading.
    āœ… Suggested Solution:

    • The first portfolio item in the slider should retain the <h1> heading.
    • All subsequent portfolio items should use <h2> instead.

Since this is a critical SEO issue, I would really appreciate a fix or a recommended workaround. Is there a way to implement this change in an update or through a theme adjustment?

Looking forward to your response! šŸ˜Š

    Best regards

    Dear Salient Support Team,

Thank you very much for your quick response and for providing early access to the updated Salient Portfolio plugin. I really appreciate your support!

    I have a couple of follow-up questions:

    1. How can I import and install this updated version on my WordPress website? Should I uninstall the existing plugin first or simply upload and replace it?
    2. How exactly does this update resolve the SEO issue regarding <h1> and <h2> headings in the Portfolio Slider? Will there be an option in the settings to define the heading tags, or is this handled automatically?

I appreciate your guidance and look forward to your response.

    Best regards,

    Hey ismailbaker,

You can install the plugin via the WordPress admin > Plugins > Add New Plugin and replace the existing. Once installed, you will be able to utilize a new option within the element settings to alter the heading structure.

    Kind regards
