Frequently, when I make changes to "Salient" options in wordpress admin, the connect to my server gets reset.
Currently I host with GoDaddy.
Is there possibly some kind of "overload" that is triggering my hosting provider's security settings? How can we work together to fix this, as GoDaddy is a well-known hosting provider. My WP installation is also setup directly through their WP Installation App, should be configured perfectly to their servers.
Please let me know what I can do to help diagnose, I am trying to obtain more diagnostic information from GoDaddy as well, but have not received much information. I have already paid to upgrade to more RAM and resources to see if this would help.
I'm sorry, but that is just too convenient of an answer. Both you AND godaddy are saying the same thing. Someone needs to support their product and you don't know for sure it's not your theme.
Here's the thing, WP doesn't do this. Your Salient custom theme options are causing this. No other aspect of WP does this it is only when I edit salient theme options. The instructions are sent to GoDaddy and the server is resetting itself. I can change ANY other settings in WP, but Salient is what is killing it. So, sounds to me like both GoDaddy and ThemeNectar need to work together to find out WHO actually needs to provide the support. I am willing to help if you can provide any information for me to speak to GoDaddy with. But this is bullcrap, someone needs to support somehow, you can't both claim to not support because it's the easy thing to do. I have a GoDaddy wordpress install, so it is setup correctly with their servers...
This is a very helpful article, THANK YOU, this is concrete enough I may be able to force godaddy to do something. Very much appreciate it. Sorry to be so blunt before, it's frustrating when you feel like everyone is passing the buck.
