I previously raised this issue in the general channel, but unfortunately, I haven't received a clear response. So I following up here. Our company is considering purchasing the Salient theme. I have a few technical questions regarding the design and interactions showcased in your demos. I’d like to confirm whether the following features are supported natively by the theme or would require custom implementation:
Video Background Support: Is it possible to add a video background (e.g., in the hero/landing section) on the homepage like the one shown in your demo?
Scroll-triggered Animations: Does Salient support scroll animations, such as elements appearing or moving up from the bottom as the user scrolls down the page?
Page Divider: Is it possible to add a black gradient page divider on the homepage like the one shown in your demo?
Page-style Navigation Dots (Section Indicator) : In one of your demos, there is a circular section indicator/ navigation UI on the right side of the screen (numbered dots) that allows users to jump between page sections. Is this feature built into the theme, and can I recreate the layout and design exactly as shown in the demo (including transitions, background style, typography, etc.) using only the Salient theme options?
Full-page Transition Effects : When clicking into a content section, I noticed smooth page transition animations between screens. Is this kind of animated page transition available within the theme, or does it require third- party plugins or custom coding?
Synchronized Split Layout Section Scroll : In one layout, content is split between text on the left and an image on the right. Currently, users must scroll multiple times to reveal the next pair (text + image). Is there a way to make both sides change together in one scroll action, so that each scroll moves to the next full section (like a slideshow or full-scroll section snap)?
Fullscreen Image Slideshow per Content Item : I’m building a layout similar to a multi-column grid. Instead of navigating to a new page or replacing the grid with the next item, I want each single content item to open a fullscreen image slider—showing multiple images as a lightbox or full-gallery view for that specific entry. Is this possible within the native Salient features?
Combined Form Submission and File Download : Is it possible to configure a button so that, when a user submits a contact form (e.g., using a “Contact Me” or “Get a Quote” button), it simultaneously submits the form and automatically triggers the download of a specific file (e.g., a brochure or guide PDF)?
Licensing for Multiple Sites : Our company plans to build more than three websites using the Salient theme. The first will be a primary site, and the others will be near-identical copies with minimal changes. In this case, is it sufficient to purchase one license per site (even if they are clones), or are there any special terms or bulk license options we should be aware of?
I’d greatly appreciate to ensure we proceed correctly, could you please confirm specifically whether the following items are supported natively within the Salient theme, or if they require customization or third-party plugins?
While most of the references I included were based on the Salient demos, several of the interactions and transitions we are interested in are also observed directly on the ThemeNectar website itself (themenectar.com).
We would greatly appreciate a more detailed clarification for each item, as we’d like to avoid assuming that all features shown in the demos or your website are fully reproducible without understanding any potential limitations or plugin requirements.
Thank you for your help and for building such a visually compelling theme. Looking forward to your response. Thank you!
