Some time ago, I purchased the Salient theme from your company. Unfortunately, I am not satisfied with the product, as I have encountered a significant issue related to the LCP (Largest Contentful Paint) performance on mobile devices. This bug causes various functional problems and has negatively impacted my site's performance in Google’s metrics.
It appears that my product warranty has expired, which is why I am reaching out to you this way. I have already tried using WP Rocket to resolve the issue, but unfortunately, it had no effect.
Could you please advise me on how this can be resolved?
Use the Performance Lab plugin, specifically the Modern Image Formats inside of it. Once that's active, you'll need to regenerate your website images to create them in the modern formats.
Delay the third-party JS scripts if added [Google Tag Manager, Hotjar, Cookiebot]. We don't offer any functionality in Salient to help with that. You would either need to write a script to handle it or use a plugin like WPRocket to delay them.
I just downloaded the performance lab, but all my images were already in AVIF format. So i do not think that this will cause a problem.
I downloaded the OMGF already cause i saw that in one of your reactions. This has no effect on the LCP.
I bought WP rocket, and they told me that something is blocking it from working. Probably cause i tried multiple caching plug ins or something. But they told me that i have to discus this with the help service from Salient. So i hope you can help me with this. *Edit: WP rocket is now working and the LCP is stil 11.410 :(
It looks like the login credentials aren't working. In the meantime, please try adding the custom CSS code I shared earlier and clear your cache to see if that resolves the issue.
Thanks for the update! I gave it a quick check, and since both WP Rocket and SiteGround Optimizer are active, it’s difficult to accurately test or identify the issue—these tools often apply overlapping optimizations that can mask changes.
We recommend temporarily disabling all optimization plugins, and then turning them back on one at a time, starting with the most essential. This step-by-step approach will help pinpoint what might be affecting the site’s behavior.
Just to clarify—achieving a 100% mobile score is definitely possible with WP Rocket; we've seen other users accomplish this while using the Salient theme, so the theme itself isn't a limitation.
Keep in mind that changes made in WP Rocket aren’t always applied instantly. Their documentation explains this in more detail here: WP Rocket – Asynchronous Optimizations
For the best results based on your specific server setup, I’d recommend reaching out to WP Rocket’s support team. In the meantime, I’ve already configured the Salient settings to their optimal values.
So the developer responded and the developer pointed out that the image used is quite large — around 2048px wide for desktop and approximately 869KB even on mobile. I have gone ahead and cropped the image to reduce its size.
To optimize further, you could consider cropping the mobile version down more aggressively or replacing it with a small, plain color image (e.g., 10x10px) as a background.
I went through the full setup and was able to achieve a score of 80 on mobile via PageSpeed Insights: View Report
Here’s a quick summary of what I adjusted to reach that score:
Disabled parallax background on mobile
Set the top-level image row background to "Skip lazy load"
Disabled background layer animation on mobile
OMGF wasn’t working on your server, so I installed “Local Google Fonts” instead
Installed SiteGround Optimizer and disabled cache within plugin settings
Installed WP Rocket and fine-tuned the settings accordingly

Kind regards,
The problem is only on mobile devices, not on desktop. I've read multiple tickets about this problem and there is NO clear solution.
Hey Again,
Thanks for reaching out! .
I had a quick look at the page you referenced: https://pagespeed.web.dev/analysis/https-bewustbouwadvies-nl-bouwtekening-dakkapel-en-vergunning/28a1ebj6og?form_factor=mobile
The LCP issues is caused by the Render Delay.
Could you setup WP Rocket as mentioned in our guide so we can test this further ?.
Try using the Optimization plugins recommended in this Article http://themenectar.com/docs/salient/performance-optimization-guide/ and check if that makes a difference.

Dear Tahir,
Thank you for the response.
I tried the steps, but I still see no good results.
The LCP on mobile is: FCP: 4,4 and the LCP: 7,4
How can i provide the admin acces?
You can send them here by switching to the Private message box.
Thanks

Also please confirm, you have all the performance features enabled in the Salient Theme Options Panel :
Thanks

I added the CSS code and it has no effect Tahir. :(

Dear Tahir,
I deleted Siteground and the problem is still going.
It seems that the Salient Theme just is not coded well enough so we have this problem.
I hope there wille be a solution.

Dear Tahir,
Well I only see bad coments about Salient LCP mobile and I never saw a ticket where the problem was solved.
I already have contact with WProcket and they also have no solution...
Hey Again,
Thanks for your patience with this. Escalating this to the developer for further response.

Dear Tahir,
This looks like a fine solution. The LCP is 75 right now. Do you think that this is high enough to perform well on google?
And what plug in I need to use right now to clear cache?
Thank you very much for the help. I appreciate it.
Glad to help.
You need to use WProcket to clear the cache.
Also to further improve it adding an even smaller sized image as mentioned earlier and reduce the dom size by removing some elements.
Best
