When I try to add a video to the Nectar Slider then it is trying to play the video immediately which results in many stops and stutters and so on. It doesn't show the uploaded preview image but tries to play the video directly. How can I show the preview image until the video is completely loaded and only then switch to the video?

I am afraid we dont have such an option available in Nectar Slider .Try using Revolution Slider if you have a copy.
