I want to display a static photo in a box and when it is clicked I want it to open to a full page (not full screen) interactive panorama. See example page here: http://www.johnhpanos.com/spherical/sphericl.htm
[when you click the picture it goes straight into a full page interactive pano]

I have built my panos [see: http://www.timothyselvage.com/360-virtual-reality-panoramas/ ] and have all the relevant files ftp'd on server etc. They have been built for full size and are resizable but funnily I don't know how to build a simple/basic page in salient without all the headers, containers, boxes etc, etc, etc so I can just paste/use the simple script: [pano file="360-vr-Panoramas/Ely-cathedral-360-panorama-internet-files-panotour/360-vr-panorama-Ely-cathedral-lady-chapel.html"]

Please can someone tell me how to build a simple/bacic page in salient for me to place my panoramas.

    Thanks.

Interesting Timothy, we\'re in the same business, nice to meet you!
I am also just changing my website www.smartvirtualtours.com over to Salient and using krpano for my tours. If you\'re the same then you can use iframes to stay on the page, some of my clients have done this e.g. https://www.vantagemotorhomes.co.uk/virtual-tours.php but panos like ours in iframes aren\'t totally stable on mobile devices which is why mine will be loading on new windows. Burghley (another client) http://www.burghley.co.uk/about-burghley/burghley-house/staterooms/ let us work this way and it\'s very successful. The only problem was on mobile phones where it\'s possible to have several windows open with tours in so we set a close button to appear if you are browsing on a phone.

So you can use a plug in like fancy box to let you load iframes but check them on several mobile devices before you commit to going down this route.

... Out of interest I shot the tours inside Peterborough Cathedral http://www.peterborough-cathedral.org.uk/360-virtual-tours.html

Adrian - Yes it\'s great to meet another photographer in the same niche and
one who can stitch properly! ;-) I can see how iframes could be useful -
will look into it. However I\'m more interested in how you setup Burghley.
Was there a reason Burghley had to open in a separate window? Thi is
exactly what I\'m after - the pano to open in a \'Full Page\'.

Ideally I also want the option to go from the static small cameo picture into a
full page (but not open another window). I don\'t mind the url changing. So from this page e.g.
http://www.johnhpanos.com/spherical/sphericl.htm it then goes to this
    page... http://www.johnhpanos.com/spherical/peterbor1/peterbor1.html
[what I mean by full page - just like with your Burghley]

Weirdly because my whole site is Salient with templates containers etc, etc
    - I don\'t know how to either - open up the pano into a \'Full Page\' (new window) - or
just switch URL (same window) to a \'Full Page\'. Can\'t figure out how to make a \'blank page\' template/page that only uses the html scrip/prompt to run the pano.

Do you know how to do it within the confines of Wordpress and Salient
Theme? As whenever I try full page width, etc the pano always ends up
\'inside\' boxes with margins, headings etc. It\'s probably something simple that I\'ve overlooked.

Thanks again - great work btw - nice to see some quality panos being produced ;-)

Just upload the pano to a folder on your site via ftp e.g. \'virtualtours\' and link to it. The only problem is people closing the window rather going back and you potentially loosing them, thats why I go for blank/new windows.

Adrian - Excellent!!! So simple. Thanks to you I\'ve now realised how to organise folders on the server so it translates to the urls. I\'ve also found an excellent plugin called PanoPress (you might like it) which allows for a full page lightbox or any specified size (which is probably what I\'ll use). Good thinking about people closing the window instead of clicking the back button. Thanks again for the help all sorted now.
