I'm currently using the header layout "Default layout." I'd like to place a button in the header (to go to another domain's URL), preferably on the right side, as my "call to action" on every page. Is this possible?
For a brief period, I switched the header layout to "Centered menu," but I didn't a means to add a button to the header.
It took me a few minutes to figure out how to get to the "Salient Menu Item Options," so I thought it might be useful for future folks to show how I got there, using WordPress 6.8.2:
1. Go to WordPress navigation: Appearance -> Menus
2. In the section "Add menu items," click "Custom Links".
3. Enter the URL of your new link/button, as well as the label ("Link Text") you want on the button.
4. Click "Add to Menu."
5. Drag the menu item to wherever you want it in your menu.
6. Click the menu item's down arrow on the right side of the menu item to expose a few options for the menu item.
7. Click the button "Salient Menu Items Options" to get to all the options.
