I asked this same question about 8 months ago and see it asked extremely often by others with the response always being "there's no function for that as yet".
I have a "portfolio 3" style layout. What i want to be able to do is click one of the images, that then brings up a lightbox which I can flick through the other images associated with just that particular image on the main portfolio page. For instance, as a photographer I wan't my best image from a set to display in the portfolio grid, if people take an interest in that image they can click on it and see the other shots from that group in the popup lightbox. Obviously as it is ("was" I'm hoping) when the lightbox comes up it just shows all the other images on the portfolio main page. At the moment I have it so that clicking an image takes you to a page, but this doesn't utilise the lightbox at all.
I really hope this has been added. Even the demo version of "portfolio 3" alludes to this being what it does.
Sorry, I\'ve tried messing around with that all day and I\'m having trouble understanding what that does. I\'ve seen a few posts about this feature since you guys created it but I can\'t seem to get it to do anything. Do you mind explaining to me what that feature does and how I would make it work?
I\'ve assigned categories to all of my images that I want to group together, now it\'s just a matter of making it so that clicking on an image shows a lightbox that scrolls through only that category. Even if my homepage wasn\'t technically a portfolio, but still looked the way it does with the grid layout, and each image was able to be clicked and a lightbox appeared with it\'s relevant images I\'d be happy. I hope you understand what I\'m trying to do here.
That\'s frustrating. So my plan B is just to have the images click through to their individual pages. I\'m having a smaller issue there, I want to have fullwidth pages without the sidebar, but given that many of my images are portrait orientation it makes their height too large when the width scales to fullscreen. I\'ve played with the size options on the single image section but I\'m then having trouble getting the images to align to the centre. Is there something I\'m not doing right there? Should I upload the images with a maximum height of say a macbook screen? Would that stop them from sizing beyond their uploaded resolution?

Hey ,
There is an option here :
But that is limited to the single portfolio pages.
Thanks

Hey Againm,
This option doesnt work on the lightbox i am afraid. Only when you click through the individual portfoilo single pages that you can use the arrows .

Hey Again,
Could you provide the page url .
Thanks

Hey ,
You\'d need to add a class to them such as \"mobile-hidden\" and then add this into the custom css box located in your Salient Options panel:
Thanks

Hi John, Hi Nectar Support,
Obviously more and more users would love to have such a feature:

Why? As John wrote, it just makes so much sense as a photographer and in addition, it would also reduce the portfolio loading time :-)
I believe it\'s related to the portfolio-lightbox-slider topic as well:
