    I cant seem to get description text to display under single images in WP Bakery.

    Seems like a basic wordpress function, Ive searched the tickets and tried some snippets but cant get it working.

    I'm afraid there is no such feature to add Captions. You can use Third Party Plugin such as https://wordpress.com/plugins/browse/caption.
