That "0%" progress bar is the universal sign of a server "handshake" that hasn't quite started yet. Since you mentioned you just did all your uploads today, your server might be hitting a few common resource limits that prevent the large demo files from being unzipped and imported.
Before trying the import again, please check these three server settings (usually found in your hosting control panel or php.ini file):
memory_limit: This should be at least 256M (512M is ideal for larger demos).
max_execution_time: Set this to 300 or higher. If it's too low, the server "gives up" before the images finish downloading.
upload_max_filesize: Ensure this is at least 32M.
Common Blockers to Check
Check Your License: Make sure your theme is registered. Demo imports require an active license to connect to our template cloud.
Salient Core Plugin: Ensure the Salient Core and Salient Shortcodes plugins are active. The demo importer cannot place content into elements that aren't "turned on" yet.
Firewalls/Security: If you are using Wordfence or a server-level firewall (like ModSecurity), it might be blocking the external connection to the ThemeNectar demo server. Try briefly disabling it to see if the percentage starts to climb.
If you see any red error text appearing, please take a screenshot and share it with us. This will help us pinpoint exactly what is blocking the editor.
We recommend downloading and using the Envato Marketplace Plugin for this. Check out the documentation for the same here.
Find your Purchase Code: Log into your ThemeForest account, go to Downloads, and click the "Download" button next to Salient. Select "License certificate & purchase code (text)". Open that file to find the long string of letters and numbers.
Let us know if you need further assistance with the same.
Since the Salient > Dashboard menu is missing, you must use the Envato Market Plugin to create a secure bridge between your website and your ThemeForest account.
Required Permissions: You must check these specific boxes for the token to work:
View and search Envato sites
Download the user's purchased items
List purchases the user has made
Copy/Paste: Copy the long token string, go back to your site's Envato Market page, paste it into the Global API Token field, and save.
Step 3: Update & sync with Envato
Once the token is saved, your site will sync with Envato.
The Theme Tab: An "Envato Market > Themes" tab will appear showing Salient. If an update is available (you should be on v18.0.2), click "Update Available".
Install Core Plugins: After the theme updates, look at the top of your dashboard for a notice: "This theme requires the following plugins...". Click "Begin installing plugins" to add Salient Core and Salient Shortcodes.
We're trying to import the demo but it's not progressing. We did all the uploads today but it's not installing.

Also, please check for Browser Console Errors: https://codex.wordpress.org/Using_Your_Browser_to_Diagnose_JavaScript_Errors
as this could be a server security issue.

Best,
how can we check our license? we cant see in dashboard?
and we haven't set up SSL yet. Could that be the reason?

Where do we enter the license code?
Hello sehatanrikulu!
Since the Salient > Dashboard menu is missing, you must use the Envato Market Plugin to create a secure bridge between your website and your ThemeForest account.
Step 1: Install the Envato Market Plugin-
-
-
Step 2: Generate and Link Your API TokenDownload: Get the plugin zip file from the official Envato GitHub here.
Upload: In your WordPress site, go to Plugins > Add New > Upload Plugin and install it.
Activate: Once activated, a new "Envato Market" menu item will appear in your main WordPress sidebar.
This is what "tells" your website that you officially own Salient.
Create Token: Go to build.envato.com/create-token.
Required Permissions: You must check these specific boxes for the token to work:
View and search Envato sites
Download the user's purchased items
List purchases the user has made
Copy/Paste: Copy the long token string, go back to your site's Envato Market page, paste it into the Global API Token field, and save.
Once the token is saved, your site will sync with Envato.

Install Core Plugins: After the theme updates, look at the top of your dashboard for a notice: "This theme requires the following plugins...". Click "Begin installing plugins" to add Salient Core and Salient Shortcodes.
Hope this is clear.
