I'm trying to improve my SEO and noticed that Yoast SEO says that my Gallery doesn't contain any images (yet it is picture based). I've also noticed that where I use 'sliders' they don't show up as pictures that can be found by search engines.

Is there a way of using salient features (e.g. sliders, galleries) so that the images are SEO optimised?

Background context: I am a photographer and want to start uploading more images regularly so would appreciate the simplest and most effective solution. I use Adobe Lightroom to manage titles, descriptions, alt-tags etc and when I upload them the plugin Media Library Assistant makes sure that the relevant fields get passed on to wordpress.

Someone mentioned that Nextgen gallery is responsive, yet also SEO optimised. I was therefore wondering whether I've missed something. Can Salient galleries/sliders can be optimised so when I check a page with Yoat SEO it sees all the pictures on the page/post?

    Thanks.

    Tahir,

Okay, thanks for adding it to wish list. It\'s a shame as it\'s the cool design features that \'make\' salient awesome - but without good SEO it will be harder to have website/content found :-(

    Thanks for prompt response.
