I use MeBox as my video hosting service. It's on many sites such as https://trep-ology.com/ and plays perfectly well. TREP-ology uses a different theme but it does use Visual Composer.
However, Salient doesn't let the video content display. It's not the Visual Composer plugin as far as I can tell.
