Is there a way to add tags to blog post or pages to help the search function. Also if I upload documents to the server that the website is hosted on is there a way I can help the search function find those items?
I dont see this possible at the moment without custom work. Please consider hiring a freelancer over at Envato Studio for these Theme customizations as they are not provided as Support.
