First off, great theme! I absolutely love Salient and have had great experience with it!
I've
been hitting a wall with an issue about Custom Post Types and
Categories. What I'm trying to achieve is a Masonry style layout that
pulls from multiple custom post types and displays them in a list with
category filters at the top (exactly like the Portfolio page - http://themenectar.com/demo/salient/portfolio/)
Is
it possible to extend the Salient Visual Composer "Blog" element to
recognize my own custom post types? It seems that my custom post types
are not being recognized when I try to output them in the blog layouts
(using the Salient Visual Composer "Blog" element added to a page - see
screenshot) Only the default "Post" post-type is getting displayed.
Unfortunately this would take a decent amount of custom development - the reason why the default blog style is getting used is because custom posts types default to the index.php file. I would recommend checking out Envato Studio in regards for integration
