I recently received an email from WP Bakery regarding the security issues with the visual composer plug-in (V4.3.5) that came bundled with Salient. As instructed I downloaded and uploaded (by FTP) the new version of the plug-in (V4.7.4). The instruction said it would replace the existing visual composer plug-in, but as it has a different directory name then it obviously wouldn't do that. I now have the new WP Baker Visual composer plug-in (V4.7.4) in my plug-ins list in my Wordpress dashboard. Before I activate it, could you please tell me if my version of Salient (6.0.3) is compatible with WP Baker Visual composer plug-in (4.7.4) before I switch over.
Hi, Thanks for the response. I\'d already read the instructions, and followed them, but when I unzipped the directory on the server it didn\'t overwrite the existing plug-in folder as the new one has a different name. It has installed as a new plug-in. Please see attached image. I now have both versions installed. I want to activate the new (secure) version so I can delete the old insecure version.

Hey Again,
Please update Salient Theme version to 6.1.65 . Then go to Appearance -> Install Plugins Menu and update the Salient VC .
You dont need to use the WPBakery VC .
Thanks

Hi Tahir,
That\'s worked! It was much simpler than following WPBakeries instructions. Thanks very much for your help (again)!,
Andy
