I have the theme installed and the mobile menu comes in from the right. Also when I click on a parent page the menu disappears and reveals the subpages. Because of this I can\'t click on the parent page to navigate to it.
How do I get a mobile menu that looks and works like the one on this demo page?

You need to turn off Mobile Sticky Header Option in Salient Theme Options Panel -> Header Section to get the drop down menu .
