    i would like instructions to remove the black transparent box from the caption on the slider on the Salient home page. See image attached. I would like to see TESTER SLIDE in white text, without the transparent black box surrounding it.

    Hey ,

    Add this into the Custom CSS box located in your Salient Options panel (Make Sure there are no red cross in the Box) :
    #featured article .post-title h2 span {
    background: transparent !important;
    box-shadow: none !important;
}
