On my blog page I would like to show excerpts. I have used the built in setting for this. Now I would like to show my post image to the left of the text when looking a my blog page that contains the post excerpts. Is there any way to do this?

I have found out after I wrote this that I can use the more tag to get the desired result, but is there a way to do this automatically within the theme or doing something with php ?
