I installed the new version 7 and got problems with all sliders and also the whole site was kind of clumsy and not working propoerly. I am with the latest version of WP.
Lately whenever there is an update of either Salient or Wordpress, there is always a serious problem with the site. My experience with Salient is getting worse and worse.
You\'re not alone. Wordpress 4.4.1 gave me problems when I was on 6.1.7.2 & now Salient 7.0 brought some more problems.
Seems 7.0 might work fine on fresh installs but hates being updated from previous builds.
So far my Blog Element is not functional (I\'ve tried everything) & fullscreen poster headers no longer fill the screen leaving a 9 pixel gap on the bottom of the page. Poster headers also don\'t have the dark overlay to make reading the title easier, they also don\'t have the bottom shadow.
It seems to have gotten to the point that it\'s no longer seamless.
We are working on releasing a bugfix in the next of couple of hours so we would appreciate the feedback about bugs and issues that you are coming across.
We spent 2 days testing on whatever possible scenarios we could test. Though it is nearly impossible to check all of the Theme Options given the multiple options and various configurations users are running.
The homepage of my site will not even open after installing the 7.0 update (on instruction of ThemeNectar support in response to a ticket raising an issue), a great result in the final week before deadline of a web design project for a paying client. Pretty unhappy about this right now, hoping this fix will be released ASAP!
Confirming that NO PAGE HEADER shows up on the pages. The image is looks like it\'s there according to Page Header Settings on each page. Deleted cache, turned off plugins, etc. Still not working.
I\'ve tried installing the theme several times but each time I get an error message at /wp-admin/update.php?action=upload-theme asking me: \"Are you sure you want to do this?\" Has anybody else seen this issue? I\'ve attached a screencap. There\'s no way to answer \"yes\" or \"no\" to the question on that page.
Please create a private ticket with your login credentials so we can have a look. Also please note that If you have multiple Third party plugin on the site they would also cause a load on your serer.

Just upgrading and cleared cache, etc and my home page content (nectar slider, and other elements) are now not loading.
Very frustrating.

Try updating the Theme using FTP .

I\'m also experiencing tons of trouble with the new update. Visual composer doesn\'t work at all at the site has become painstakingly slow.
