- Installed and activated the WPML String Translation addon
- Went to WPML --> Theme and plugins localization: and selected \"Translate the theme and plugins using WPML\'s String Translation\", then scanned the theme for strings
- Went to WPML --> String Translation to look for the strings in question, but couldn\'t find them
I\'ve found what I was looking for after your suggestion to update the theme.
After setting the \"view all work\" etc. text in the Salient Settings, I was able to find them in WPML -> String Translation, under \"Translate texts in admin screens ยป\".
For the project categories/attributes, I was able to make them translatable by changing the settings in WPML Translation Options.
On a unrelated note, I noticed a little CSS issue with the language dropdown (+flag) widget. I _think_ it\'s due to some Salient CSS. See attachment.

I can\'t seem to figure out how to translate the following cases:
- The \"RECENT WORK / VIEW ALL WORK\" text from the Recent Projects widget
- The Call To Action text, button text and button link
- \"Sort Portfolio\" text and the portfolio categories
I found other support tickets related to this, referencing the following page: https://wpml.org/forums/topic/how-to-give-an-icon-different-urls-for-each-language/
But it doesn\'t seem all clear to me.
What I\'ve done so far:

Hi,
I installed the Loco Translate plugin and was able to find \"Sort Portfolio\" in the list of strings, so I got that translated!
But \"RECENT WORK\" and \"VIEW ALL WORK\" strings are still nowhere to be found, neither on Loco Translate and WPML (String Translation).
Same goes for my Call To Action strings, as well as the portfolio categories which I\'ve added.
I tried changing the line in functions.php as mentioned on https://wpml.org/forums/topic/cant-translate-basic-strings-from-portfolio/ , but that didn\'t change anything. I don\'t think that\'s the issue I\'m having.

You need to update the Theme and use the new Default.po file which has the missing strings.
