Small change frontpage

    Hi there,

I have just a short question: We use the Salient Theme with the normal blog-view on the front page (3 rows + 1 row sidebar).

Well, the logos we put in to the articles have a good size for the frontpage-boxes. But we also want to put in photos as article-pictures.. Unfortunaly the photos are very small in the boxes, so the size does not work well.

Our manager said, he wants to have, in case a PHOTO (not a logo) is put into an article, the frontpage-box should look different: In this case the photo shall be the top-half of the box - without any margin to the border. the second half of the box shall be as usual. (If the photo has not the correct size it's also okay when it's not exactly the half! - Important is just the WIDTH. (To ease my situation I will call the "new" Photobox "FRONTPAGE-BOX-TYPE-B" and the normal one "FRONTPAGE-BOX-TYPE-A"...

So I thought about a small change... I could create a "custom field" (via plugin) in which I can (if I want to) put in a photo. Then I need a  php-request: Something like: WHEN "CUSTOM-FIELD" is filled, show "FRONTPAGE-BOX-TYPE-B", else show "FRONTPAGE-BOX-TYPE-A"... or something like that.. I really do not know. :-/

Maybe anyone of you has a easier way to fix that issue.

    Please help me :)

    Best Regards!

PS: Sorry for my bad english ;-)
