I finally got my head around the visual composer responsiveness concept ("visibility setting must wrap alternative row content, so it is hidden for different devices" is what eventually made sense to me). So now I started trying to improve navigation of my site on mobiles for my elderly customers.
I think some of them don't understand the icon of three lines for a mobile menu because responsiveness is new to them - also they don't necessarily notice small page elements as well as younger users. And the off canvas menu seems to only link second level items, not first? Anyway, it's going to confuse them!
So if the three lines icon can't be replaced by the word "menu" then...
I would like to make a more obvious menu link in the footer area. Is it possible to add the first level menu headings into the footer for mobile only?
Or is there a better way to add some sort of "menus" button that would take them to the display of the top level mobile menus? Your thoughts appreciated as always. I did try the page menu visual composer item but it only seems to allow for one menu link, not all the top level items.
