I've created a blog page using all "Standard" format blog posts. I now want to convert most of those into "Link" format blog posts.
As I went through the process of testing how the "Link" format of post functions on my page, while using "Recent Posts" to pull/organize the posts onto my page, I've found that the posts that are built as a "Link" simply don't appear.
I also made a category of posts called "Test" to experiment with "Link" format posts, then put a "Recent Posts" element at the bottom of my page, which is pulling the "Test" posts, to see them together. As you might see there are no posts there, where there should be four of them. **
I've done a fair amount of googling and such to trouble shoot on my own but I can't find a solution.
** See attached image showing the "Stuff We Life" posts, which are "Standard" format posts - compared to the "Test" section below it, which are "Link" format posts and which aren't appearing.
(note: my page is still a draft, not sure if this affects the support team's ability to view it.)
Salient 7.6 is now available for Download on the Themeforest Download Page , Visual Composer has also been Updated to Version 4.12.1.
If you're upgrading from Salient VC 4.9.2 earlier, you'll need to delete the plugin from your plugins section in the WordPress admin panel before installing the current version (4.12.1) in Appearance > Install Plugins - This is necessary due to a bug in the Salient VC 4.9.2 which prevents regular updating.
Could you allow us to log in to your website backend dashboard so we can check on this for you more?. We are gonna need the username and password of admin user as well as the login url. Thanks

Tahir,
Thanks for getting back to me.
I updated Salient as well as Salient VC and unfortunately it doesn't seem to have solved my problem.
Any other ideas?
-Kyle

Hey Again,
It seems that it is intentionally not included as they are not meant to show any image and would cause issues .
Thanks

Thanks for looking into this for me
So does that mean I won't be able to use links in my blog elements at all?
Is there any other work-around?
Hey Again,
I would advise against changning any of the Theme Php code as those changes would be lost when you update.
Please create your content differently to save future headaches .
Best.
