Portfolio Thumbnail Titles

    Hello,

    I have a few questions about the portfolio thumbnails:

    1. Is it possible to add static titles centered underneath the thumbnail as well as on the hover as it is just now?

    2. Is it also possible to change the opacity of the thumbnail text on hover? (The one that is on top of the thumbnail)

    Thank you,

    Mysha!

    Hi Mysha,

    Thanks for contacting us regarding your query.

    1. You are able to change the Portfolio settings in regards to the Project Style to Meta Below Thumb w/ links on hover which would achieve the request you are querying.

    Please take a look at the following screencast that will outline the steps you need to take to accomplish this.

    2. You may use the following Custom CSS Code to accomplish this request.

    /*Changes the Overlay text opacity on portfolio elements*/
    .full-width-content > .col.span_12.dark h3{
      opacity: 0.3 !important;
    }

    Please copy and paste this Custom CSS Code into the Page Specific Custom CSS Section in the WYSIWYG Editor of Visual Composer as illustrated in the image attached or shown below.

    Please let me know if there are any more questions that I may answer for you :)

    Cheers!

    Thank you! The CSS was really useful, Almost at what I'm aiming for!

    I didn't want to use the Meta Below Thumb w/ links on hover as it creates buttons whereas I'd just like the effect you can see now: http://www.myshasantini.com/portfolio/ of  Meta on hover + entire thumb link (but with text underneath) as it makes the entire thumbnail clickable, whereas the Meta Below thumb only allows you to click the buttons, if you disable them, the thumbnails no longer work

    Thank you,

    Mysha

    Hi Mysha,

    Thanks for your reply.

    I think I have a better understanding of what you would like to achieve now. Unfortunately, there is not a way in the Salient Theme Options or Salient Visual Composer options as it relates to the portfolio items to achieve this design.

    However, here are three (3) highly recommended agencies that cater to WordPress customizations who could be able to assist you with a customized solution.

    We do apologise for any inconvenience(s) this may have caused.

    I will escalate this to the development team as a feature request item.

    Please let me know if there are any more questions that I can answer for you :)

    Cheers!
