Home slider and some other elements not working following upgrade

    Since upgrading from 5.5.5 to 7.6, I've not been able to get my home slider working at all and some other elements are not rendering properly like the fancy unordered list. 

    I've removed Salient Visual Composer and reinstalled to version 4.12.1 but no luck. 

    The home slider just shows as a black rectangle with loading circles.
