Adding text just to the left of the mobile menu (hamburger menu) icon.

I am trying to add text just to the left side of the mobile hamburger menu icon (.toggle-nav).  I have tried implementing the solution found here:   https://themenectar.ticksy.com/article/5435/

but it appeared to do nothing for me.  I don't even see the text rendered on the screen anywhere.

I have the latest version of the salient theme as of this writing.  I am using the 'dark' theme if that matters.

    Hi Fred,

I hope you are having an awesome day and thanks for contacting us regarding your query.

Hmm... That code should work, you may be implementing dark text on a dark background but Kindly provide me with a link to your site so that I may have a closer look

I look forward to your reply

    Cheers!

    Hi Fred,

    Apologies for the late reply.

We tested your CSS and it works on http://themenectar.com/demo/salient/. There might be a small thing you are overlooking on your site maybe and it would be better if you site was hosted somewhere and you were working on it from there.

That way we could take a look at this site and see what is not working and possibly identify the cause and correct.

    Please consider this.

    Hi there,

Thanks for replying with this information.

The Envato Toolkit has been discontinued and is now referred to as the Envato Market plugin.

You remove the currently installed Envato Toolkit and replace it with the Envato Market plugin.

    Download link: https://github.com/envato/wp-envato-market/archive/master.zip

Please also ensure that you are using the latest version of the Salient Visual Composer which is currently at version 4.12.1

Please use the steps outlined in the article below to update Salient Theme and Salient Visual Composer  plugin files respectively .

How To Update The Salient Theme and Plugin

Please let me know if there are any more questions that I may answer for you :)

    Cheers!

    Hi Fred,

    Apologies for the late reply.

About having not change on the text "menu" besides the mobile menu, there are not hover events on mobile. Just touch.

Please consider that and if you are not testing this on an actual mobile phone please do.
Nevertheless, could we have a link to this because the  text "menu" besides the mobile menu is not present on the live site here http://www.alwardconstruction.com/. We might be able to come up with the CSS to give you what you want - no change on that text.

    Thanks.

  • Fred replied

Yes of course, no hover events on mobile (my bad).  Anyway, I have everything working the way I want now.

    You can close this ticket.

    Thank you!
