The theme stopped working with the latest wordpress update.
Please release an update to fix this. We are in the middle of sending out proposals for our services and would like to have confidence that the website will work for our clients.
I've confirmed with our hosting provider that it is the theme.
The latest version of theme will make the website display correctly on the front. They have instructions for how to update, but remember to export your theme settings and take a snapshot of your widgets before you do it. The back-end page builder is still broken though.
$template.get() is not a function error shows in the console.
Our clients are downgrading to WordPress 4.4.2 (which also works) until there is a solution
We just released Salient 7.0.8 with the WP 4.5 Fix, If you've already installed Salient VC 4.9.2 you'll need to delete it and update to 4.11.2 to get some of the fixes, See changelog :http://themenectar.com/changelogs/salient.html .
Well the last support ticket was deleted so hopping on this one...
I downgraded to WordPress 4.4.2. but kept Salient 7.08 and Visual Composer 4.11.2 and all of my pages are still shortcodes, although it worked for someone else to downgrade Wordpress.
@Tahir I can't create a private ticket because my "support is up" but I did send credentials to Themenectar via Themeforest yesterday. This is a core functionality problem and should be supported.

@jordan I had users complain that they are getting an array of unwanted emails due to the public ticket so had to make it private.
As for the Downgrade . Salient 7.0.8 and VC 4.11.2 is working on WP 4.5 . We have had multiple users confirm it.
Best.
