In 'Edit Page' mode in my Wordpress site, I cannot see any of the page content elements when I'm switched to Visual Composer mode - see attached screenshot.
The content is there when I'm in Classic Mode (see attached screenshot). Just not in Visual Composer.
I updated to the current version of the theme 7.0.8 but this did not resolve the issue. This is happening in both Firefox and Safari.
I had the same, but fixed it. After updating the theme, delete Visual Composer from the plugins section. The theme will mention that you need to install VC. Install again and it works.
I had the same problem but your fix worked a treat. When I deleted VC from the plugin section I went to appearance > install plugins and the latest version of VC was available.
Yes, you are. If it feels better you can rename the folder in wp-content/themes via FTP to salient-old or something, and then install the new one. In that way you can always reverse.
Ok I just ran into this same issue and cannot get it to work with the fixes outlined in this ticket. I checked to make sure I have the most up to date version of Salient (Version: 6.1.65) and I have the most updated version of Visual Composer (Version 4.7.4)
I even tried uninstalling and reinstalling the plug-in, but I'm still not able to see the page content elements (screenshot attached). And on top of that every few minutes when I'm trying to access other parts of my dashboard the whole website times out for about a minute. I'm afraid to do anything else now :(
I find these updates incredibly frustrating too. Here's what I did that helped me because updating the plugin alone wasn't enough.
First make sure you have the Salient Child Theme installed and then activate it. Yes, even if you've been working all this time with whatever version it won't change anything.
Then make sure you have the "Easy Theme and Plugin Upgrades" plug in installed. Then upload just the salient.zip folder from your salient theme download. BE sure to hit YES this is an upgrade to an existing plug in.
After it is finished installing DO NOT hit activate. Just let it sit. You've already got the child's theme active. Your visual composer should be updated and so should your theme and you should see your stuff again! Hope this works.

Hey ,
We just released Salient 7.0.8 with the WP 4.5 Fix, If you've already installed Salient VC 4.9.2 you'll need to delete it and update to 4.11.2 to get some of the fixes, See changelog : http://themenectar.com/changelogs/salient.html . Update the theme by following this guide: https://themenectar.ticksy.com/article/3218/ . Also see Visual Composer update instructions in here: https://themenectar.ticksy.com/article/5182/
Best.

Thanks all for your support. I've updated the SVC plugin and that has resolved the issue.
