    Hi,

I'm trying to fix a friends site. They have Salient, and the sites updated to Wordpress 4.5 - I've noted there is a known bug when using an older version of the Salient Visual Composer, which they have, but where do I get an update for the new plugin?

    Thanks

    Hey ,

We just released Salient 7.0.8 with the WP 4.5 Fix, If you've already installed Salient VC 4.9.2 you'll need to delete it and update to 4.11.2 to get some of the fixes, See changelog :http://themenectar.com/changelogs/salient.html .

Update the theme by following this guide: https://themenectar.ticksy.com/article/3218/ . Also see Visual Composer update instructions in here: https://themenectar.ticksy.com/article/5182/

    Best.

    Hi Joseph,

I've updated the Salient VC, tried turning off all plugins, but still no luck. Any ideas?

    Hi,

Thanks for getting back to me. I've turned off every plugin, and obviously page content doesn't load without the Salient VC. So I activated that, and still the page content isn't rendering.

Getting this error on some pages:

Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /home/twcibiza/public_html/wp-content/plugins/js_composer_salient/include/classes/core/class-wpb-map.php on line 520

  • Liam replied

Oh and sorry, forgot to mention problem persists with parent theme activated.

    Hey Again,

That seems to be just a PHP warning which is showing because you have WP_debug set to true. Have notified the Developer so this can be looked at in upcoming updates. Right now it can be ignored.

    Best.

    Hi Tahir,

Thats great, but doesn't solve the original problem!

I've gone through the checklist you provided, but the site is still broken since the Wordpress update. I don't really want to roll back to an earlier version.

Hey, think I sorted it, looks like the theme update didn't happen, tried it again, and site content is back. A few things like footers widgets and fonts need to be set again, but we have a site. Thanks.
