We're having some problems updating the Visual Composer on our website. In the "Install plugins" tab under Appearance it says 4.7.4 is installed and that 4.12 is available.
If I click update, it says that it has updated and removed the old version. But when I then refresh the "Install plugins" page, it's still the same version.
The main problem is that I cannot edit any content throughout our website as the page-builder is not showing at all (see attachment).
You need to First Update the Theme and then update the bundled Salient VC .
Salient 7.5.02 is now available for Download on the Themeforest Download Page , Visual Composer has also been Updated to Version 4.12.
If you're upgrading from Salient VC 4.9.2, you'll need to delete the plugin from your plugins section in the WordPress admin panel before installing the current version (4.12) in Appearance > Install Plugins - This is necessary due to a bug in the Salient VC 4.9.2 which prevents regular updating.
Thanks Tahir. The theme was up to date already, but it worked downloading the VC .zip file from the latest theme-files and replacing the current one via FTP.
