nevermind the fix is to switch "theme icon style" to "inherit from skin". those damn 4.2 emojis ;)

You need to set the Retina Logo as well in Salient Theme Options Panel as that is use for Retina Mobile Screens . See screenshot: http://prntscr.com/a066gd .
